Raised by a single mother in the humblest of means and having been bullied throughout his youth, Michael A. Yuhasz found his passion in competitive Taekwondo as a teenager. In his early twenties, winning the Taekwondo gold medal at the US Open in Colorado Springs, he finished his competitive career and pursued his college education. Upon completion and a short career as an elementary education teacher, Mr. Yuhasz acquired Adirondack Taekwondo where he developed a Taekwondo curriculum that not only fosters the physical benefits of Taekwondo but also includes the character traits of a well rounded Black Belt - courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit.
Through Taekwondo, Mr. Yuhasz has been able to spread his message of positivity and bully awareness throughout his community and beyond by speaking on bully awareness in public and private schools and participating in character education workshops.
